Test conditions and notes8
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μf & 47μf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Touch current was measured from primary input to DC output.
- 5. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. Heat Sink HS1,HS2,HS3 can not be shorted.
- 8. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )

FAQ
Can I use the RPT-75C for industrial electronics that need 5V logic and +/-15V rails?
Yes, this triple output unit provides 5V, 15V, and -15V outputs. Its main 5V output is rated for 6A, and the total power rating is 72W. That combination suits equipment built around a 5V digital core with 15V and -15V support rails.
Is the RPT-75C suitable for test and measurement equipment with analog front ends?
It can be suitable where the product needs a 5V main rail and also requires 15V and -15V rails from the same supply. The constant voltage design, 72W total power, and 6A on 5V align with compact mixed-signal equipment rather than higher-power platforms. The triple output format is the main reason to choose this variant.
Would this power supply work for embedded control hardware with op-amp or sensor interface rails?
This model can fit embedded hardware when the primary load is 5V up to 6A and the design also needs 15V and -15V rails. The published total output is 72W, so it is intended for electronics-level loads rather than large actuators. Its compact dimensions of 127.0 x 76.2 x 31.0 mm also support tight internal layouts.
Can the RPT-75C be used in cold or hot indoor equipment compartments?
The listed operating temperature range is -20C to +70C. No IP rating is included in the provided specifications, so the data does not define outdoor or sealed-enclosure protection against water or dust. From the published specs, thermal range is clear, while ingress protection is not.
How does the RPT-75C sit within the RPT series power range?
The RPT-75C is a 72W triple output model (5V/15V/-15V). The RPT-75 series includes other variants like the RPT-75A (5V/12V/-5V, 68.5W), RPT-75B (5V/12V/-12V, 72W), RPT-75D (5V/24V/12V, 73W), and RPT-7503 (3.3V/5V/12V, 61.8W). All models share the same 5" x 3" footprint and medical safety standards.
