Test conditions and notes8
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μf & 47μf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Touch current was measured from primary input to DC output.
- 5. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. Heat Sink HS1,HS2,HS3 can not be shorted.
- 8. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )

FAQ
Can I use the RPT-75B in an automation system that needs 5V logic and +/-12V rails?
Yes, this triple output model provides 5V, 12V, and -12V outputs. The main 5V output is rated for 6A, and total output power is 72W. That makes it relevant for control or signal-processing hardware built around a 5V primary rail with symmetrical 12V support rails.
Is the RPT-75B a fit for industrial instrumentation with analog sections that use -12V?
It can be a fit when the equipment's power architecture requires a 5V main rail and also calls for 12V and -12V outputs from one supply. The unit is constant voltage, rated at 72W total, and provides up to 6A on the 5V output. That profile is more aligned with mixed-signal electronics than with single-rail loads.
Can this model support embedded computing hardware plus auxiliary +/-12V circuits?
For embedded systems centered on 5V, the 6A main output gives more headroom than lower-current siblings in the same family. Because it is a triple output supply with 12V and -12V rails as well, it can suit compact electronics that combine digital logic and support circuitry. The total rated output is 72W.
Is the RPT-75B suitable for outdoor cabinets or unprotected environments?
The specified operating range is -20C to +70C. However, no IP rating is provided in the published specs, so the product's resistance to rain, dust ingress, or direct outdoor exposure is not defined here. Based on this data alone, temperature capability is stated but enclosure protection is not.
What are the main differences between the RPT-75B and the other RPT family options listed here?
The RPT-75B is rated at 72W (convection) or 100W (forced air) with outputs of 5V/6A, 12V/3A, and -12V/0.5A. Other RPT-75 models vary: RPT-75A is 68.5W (5V/12V/-5V), RPT-75C is 72W (5V/15V/-15V), and RPT-75D is 73W (5V/24V/12V). The RPT-7503 is 61.8W (3.3V/5V/12V). All share the 5"x3" footprint and medical safety standards.
