Test conditions and notes8
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μf & 47μf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Touch current was measured from primary input to DC output.
- 5. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. Heat Sink HS1,HS2,HS3 can not be shorted.
- 8. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )

FAQ
Can I use the RPT-75A for a 5V industrial controller that also needs +12V and -5V rails?
Yes, this model is a triple output supply with 5V, 12V, and -5V outputs. Its main 5V output is rated for 6A, and the unit is designed for constant voltage operation. That makes it a reasonable fit for mixed-rail control electronics that center on a 5V logic load.
Is the RPT-75A suitable for embedded test equipment with a heavy 5V logic load?
It can fit embedded or bench equipment built around a 5V rail up to 6A. The total rated power is 68.5W, so it is better suited to compact mixed-voltage electronics than to larger systems. The triple output design can help when the same product also needs 12V and -5V rails.
Can this power supply be used in medical or laboratory electronics?
The published features state that it is medical safety approved (2xMOPP) and has extremely low leakage current. With 68.5W total power and a 5V 6A main output, it can fit medical or lab electronics that need a compact triple output supply. Buyers should still match the equipment's exact electrical requirements to the listed outputs.
Is the RPT-75A rated for outdoor or harsh-temperature use?
The operating temperature range is -20C to +70C. No IP rating is listed in these specs, so outdoor, wet-location, or washdown suitability is not specified here. Based on the published data, temperature capability is defined, but ingress protection is not.
How does the RPT-75A compare with other RPT series siblings?
Within the listed siblings, RPT-75A is 68.5W with 5V/12V/-5V outputs. RPT-75B and RPT-75C are 72W models with different voltage combinations (5V/12V/-12V and 5V/15V/-15V respectively). RPT-75D is 73W with 5V/24V/12V outputs. The RPT-7503 is 61.8W with 3.3V/5V/12V outputs. Other series members like RPT-60 and RPT-65 have lower wattages ranging from 46.5W to 62.5W.
