LCM-25 is the model of this series: rated power 18.9W (350mA) / 25.2W (500mA ~ 1050mA), typical efficiency 86%.

LCM-25 series is a 25W AC/DC constant current mode output LED driver featuring the multiple levels selectable by dip switch. LCM-25 operates from 180~277VAC and offers different current levels ranging between 350mA and 1050mA. Thanks to the efficiency up to 86%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -30℃~+85℃ case temperature under free air convection. LCM-25 is equipped with various functions, such as the dimming function and synchronization, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes8

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
3. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
4. Efficiency is measured at 500mA/50V output set by DIP switch.
5. Standby power consumption is measured at 230VAC.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
7. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Can I use the LCM-25 for LED downlights?

Yes, the LCM-25 is a constant current LED driver rated at 25.2W with a 700mA default output current. Its 6-36V output range at 700mA makes it suitable for LED downlights that are designed for constant current operation within that range, and it also includes built-in 3 in 1 dimming (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance).

Is the LCM-25 suitable for signage LED modules?

It can be used for signage modules if the modules require constant current rather than constant voltage. This driver provides 700mA by default across a 6-36V CC range, so the total forward voltage of the module string needs to stay inside that range and within the 25.2W rating.

Can the LCM-25 run a small LED array?

Yes, it is intended for constant current LED loads such as small LED arrays when the array fits a 6-36V CC range at 700mA default. The 25.2W limit sets the driver size, so it is better suited to smaller arrays than higher-power assemblies.

How do I know if the LCM-25 is compatible with my LEDs?

Check that your LEDs require a constant current driver and that their combined forward voltage falls within the output voltage range of the current you select by DIP switch: 6-36V at the 700mA default, from 6-54V at 350mA down to 6-24V at 1050mA. The number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage, so this should not be sized like a constant voltage supply.
