LCM-60DA is the model of this series: rated power 60.3W, typical efficiency 92%. Type Blank: standby power consumption <0.5W.

LCM-60DA series is a 60W AC/DC constant current mode output LED driver featuring the multiple levels selectable by dip switch and the DALI interface with the compliance to IEC62386. LCM-60DA operates from 180~295VAC and offers different current levels ranging between 500mA and 1400mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 92%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -30℃~+90℃ case temperature under free air convection. In addition, LCM-60DA is equipped with push dimming and synchronization functions, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes9

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
3. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
4. Efficiency is measured at 900mA/67V output set by DIP switch.
5. Current ripple is measured 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
6. Standby power consumption is measured at 180~230VAC.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 8. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Can I use the LCM-60DA for DALI-controlled LED downlights?

Yes, this driver is designed for constant current LED loads and includes DALI support, which makes it suitable for downlight systems that need centralized dimming control. It is rated at 60.3W, and the LED load has to fit the voltage window of the DIP-selected current, e.g. 2-86V at the 700mA default or 2-42V at 1400mA.

Is the LCM-60DA a good match for constant current LED signage modules?

It can be, provided the signage module is a constant current load and stays within 60.3W and the voltage range of the selected current (2-90V at 500/600mA down to 2-42V at 1400mA). If the sign uses constant voltage modules, this is not the correct driver type even though it supports dimming.

Can this model run a dimmable small LED array with higher voltage demand?

Yes, it delivers up to 90V at the 500mA and 600mA settings and 2-86V at the 700mA default, which leaves room for higher-voltage constant current arrays. DALI support also makes it relevant where the LED array needs digital dimming control.

How should I size LEDs for the LCM-60DA?

Use it with constant current LEDs whose combined forward voltage falls within the range of the current set on the DIP switch: 2-90V at 500/600mA, 2-86V at 700mA, 2-67V at 900mA, 2-57V at 1050mA and 2-42V at 1400mA. The number of LEDs depends on each LED forward voltage, so compatibility should be checked by total forward voltage rather than by a fixed LED count.

Can the LCM-60DA operate in hot or cold conditions?

The specified working range is a case temperature (Tcase) of -30°C to +90°C, with load derating at higher temperatures per the output load vs temperature curve, so it suits a wide range of indoor operating conditions. These specs do not include an IP rating, so environmental sealing depends on the luminaire or enclosure used with it.
