NLDD-500H is the model of this series: typical efficiency 96% at full load and 36VDC/48VDC input.

NLDD-H series is a 60W DC/DC LED driver featuring constant current output. NLDD-H operates from 10~56VDC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1400mA. With the high efficiency up to 96%, The 94V-0 flame retardant plastic case the fully-potted silicone to enhance the heat dissipation allows this series to fit for classⅢ or DC bus lighting application.

Test conditions and notes7

1.All parameters are specified at normal input(48VDC), rated load, 25℃ 70% RH ambient.
2.Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz by using a 12" twisted pair terminated with a 0.1μf capacitor.
3.Test condition: 48VDC input.
4.Output voltage will always step down by 4 volts from input DC voltage.
5.The output of NLDD-H should not be connected to the input of the same unit or output from other sources.
6.The power supply is regarded as a part of the components in the system, and the final EMI test needs to be tested with the final device. If an additional EMI filter circuit is required to meet the electromagnetic compatibility requirements, please refer to the EMC test report for details. FAQ

Can the NLDD-500H power a 500mA LED downlight engine?

Yes, if the LED engine is specified for constant current operation at 500mA. This 60W step-down driver regulates current, so it is intended for LED loads that should not be run from a constant voltage source.

Is the NLDD-500H suitable for channel letter signage or compact LED arrays?

It can work for signage modules or compact LED arrays that are designed for 500mA constant current drive. The LED load must also remain within the 52-6V constant current range of the driver.

Can I use this driver in a small custom luminaire with limited space?

The module is compact at 32.1 × 20.5 × 12.5 mm and weighs 0.0156 kg, which helps in smaller luminaires or integrated LED products. Electrically, it is still a 500mA constant current driver with up to 60W capacity.

Will the NLDD-500H work with my LED module or board?

It will only work correctly with a constant current LED load rather than a constant voltage product. Its constant current output range is 52-6V, and the number of LEDs it can support depends on the forward voltage of each LED in the string.

Is the NLDD-500H appropriate for harsh or outdoor conditions?

The module is fully encapsulated with epoxy (UL94-V0) and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +50°C. It is suitable for demanding environments when the overall product design stays within those temperature limits, but it does not have an IP rating for outdoor exposure.
