HLG-480H-36AB is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 13.3A, rated power 478.8W, typical efficiency 95%.
HLG-480H series is a 480W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-480H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 95.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.HLG-480H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-480H-36AB to power a large 36V LED strip lighting installation?
Yes. The HLG-480H-36AB delivers 478.8W at 36V and up to 13.3A, which is enough for substantial 36V LED strip runs. Its built-in potentiometer (30.6-37.8V, 6.6-13.3A) and 3-in-1 dimming input (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance) let you fine-tune voltage and brightness to match your strip's requirements; the dimming input takes an external dimming signal.
Is the HLG-480H-36AB a good driver for high-power 36V LED signage?

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the HLG-480H-36AB power?
Divide the 478.8W rated power by your strip's rated power per meter. For example, a 36V strip drawing 14.4W/m could run up to about 33 meters (478.8W / 14.4W per meter = 33.2m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 478.8W.
Can the HLG-480H-36AB be used outdoors in a sheltered location?
Yes. It carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, which protects against low-pressure water jets and dust. This is suitable for covered outdoor areas like soffits, canopies, or ventilated enclosures. For fully exposed rain or submersion scenarios, the IP67-rated HLG-480H-36B would be a better choice.
What is the difference between the HLG-480H-36, 36A, 36AB, and 36B models?
All four share 478.8W / 36V / 13.3A core specs. The base HLG-480H-36 has fixed output and IP67 waterproof rating. The -36A adds output voltage/current adjustment via potentiometer (IP65). The -36AB adds both adjustment and 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming (IP65). The -36B has dimming input only and retains IP67 waterproofing.
