HLG-150H-42A is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 3.6A, rated power 151.2W, typical efficiency 94%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HLG-150H series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-150H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-150H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-150H-42A to fine-tune brightness on 42V LED high-bay fixtures?

Yes. The built-in potentiometer lets you adjust the output voltage (38-46V) and current (2.16-3.6A), so you can trim the drive level to match specific 42V high-bay LEDs and lower the current for reduced brightness without needing an external dimmer.

Is the HLG-150H-42A suitable for powering 42V LED modules in commercial signage?

Yes. At 151.2W and 42V it can drive LED sign modules, channel letters, or light-box arrays that operate at 42V. The adjustable output is useful for matching the driver precisely to your module string voltage, and the wide 90-305VAC input handles most commercial mains supplies.

Can the HLG-150H-42A drive 42V LED grow lights in a greenhouse?

Yes. The 151.2W at 42V output is suitable for medium-power horticultural LED panels. The adjustable output allows you to dial in the exact current your grow light requires within the 21-42V CC range. Its IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust typical in greenhouse environments.

The HLG-150H-42A delivers up to 151.2W at 42V. Divide 151.2 by your strip's wattage per meter to find the maximum length. A strip rated at 12W/m, for example, could run about 12.6 meters (151.2W / 12W per meter). Always check your strip's rated power per meter before sizing.

Is the HLG-150H-42A suitable for a covered outdoor patio or canopy installation?

Yes. Its IP65 water-resistant rating protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress, which is more than adequate for covered patios, canopies, or soffits. For fully exposed rain installations without any overhead cover, the IP67-rated HLG-150H-42 base model is a better fit.
