Overview

HLG-120H-36B is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 3.4A, rated power 122.4W, typical efficiency 93%. Type B: 3 in 1 dimming function (1~10VDC, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP67).

HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-120H-36B with an external dimmer to control outdoor 36V LED strip brightness?

Yes. The HLG-120H-36B accepts 1-10V or PWM dimming signals, giving you smooth brightness control over connected 36V LED strips. Combined with its IP67 waterproof rating, it is well suited for dimmable outdoor lighting where the driver is exposed to rain, snow, or high humidity.

Is the HLG-120H-36B appropriate for a dimmable 36V LED facade or architectural lighting project?

Yes. At 122.4W and 36V with dimming capability, the HLG-120H-36B can power facade wash lights, cove lighting, or architectural accent fixtures that need brightness adjustment. The IP67 waterproof rating allows direct outdoor mounting, and the -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating covers extreme climate installations.

Can the HLG-120H-36B power dimmable 36V LED parking lot or pathway lights?

Yes. The 122.4W capacity at 36V, combined with the dimming input, lets you reduce light levels during off-peak hours to save energy. How many meters of 36V LED strip can the HLG-120H-36B power?

The HLG-120H-36B delivers up to 122.4W at 36V. Divide 122.4W by your strip's wattage per meter to get the maximum run length. For a strip rated at 10W/m, that would be about 12 meters (122.4W / 10W per meter = 12.2m). Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and stay at or below 122.4W total.

Can the HLG-120H-36B be buried in a ground-level junction box for landscape lighting?

It can be mounted in a ground-level junction box, but the sheet gives no burial rating. The IP67 rating covers temporary submersion up to 1 meter depth, not permanent submersion or direct burial. Its -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating handles freeze-thaw cycles as well.
