HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

Can I use the HLG-120H-20 to power 20V LED strip lighting outdoors?

Yes. The HLG-120H-20 outputs 20V at up to 6A (120W) and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, making it well suited for outdoor 20V LED strip runs exposed to rain or harsh weather. The metal housing and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating ensure reliable operation in extreme temperatures.

Can the HLG-120H-20 be installed in underground or submerged enclosures?

Only for temporary submersion. The IP67 waterproof rating means it is protected against temporary submersion up to 1 meter depth and is fully dust-tight. Combined with the metal housing and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating, it suits wet environments, but the sheet gives no rating for burial or permanent submersion.

What are the differences between the HLG-120H-20, 20A, 20AB, and 20B variants?

All four share the same 120W, 20V, 6A core specs. The base HLG-120H-20 has fixed output and IP67 waterproof rating. The -20A adds adjustable output via potentiometer with an IP65 water-resistant rating. The -20AB adds both adjustable output and dimming capability at IP65. The -20B offers dimming without adjustable output and retains the IP67 waterproof rating.
