Test conditions and notes5
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 12,24,48VDC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 5. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can I use the SD-25B-12 in a 24V or 36V industrial system that needs a 12V output rail?
It can fit that use case when the available input is within the listed 19-36VDC range and the 12V load stays within 2.1A and 25.2W. The output mode is constant voltage.
Is the SD-25B-12 suitable for a small 12V automation or control module?
Yes, for small 12V automation or control loads that require constant-voltage output up to 2.1A. Its rated output power is 25.2W.
Can this converter power a 12V embedded device from a higher input range?
It is designed for applications needing 12V output from a listed 19-36VDC input range. The connected 12V device must remain within 2.1A and 25.2W.
How does the SD-25B-12 compare with the other SD-25B models?
Within the SD-25B family, SD-25B-12 is 25.2W at 12V and 2.1A, SD-25B-24 is 26.4W at 24V and 1.1A, and SD-25B-5 is 25W at 5V and 5A. The listed differences are the output voltage, output current, and wattage by model.
Is the SD-25B-12 intended for indoor or outdoor environments?
The provided specs show an operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C, with output derating at higher temperatures per the derating curve, but they do not include an IP rating. That means the temperature range is stated, while outdoor exposure protection is not.
