Test conditions and notes6
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 24,48,110VDC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 5. Strongly recommended that external output capacitance should not exceed 5000uF. (Only for: RSD-150-5/-12)
- 6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can I use the RSD-150B-24 for 24V industrial automation equipment?
Yes, if the equipment requires constant 24V and the total load does not exceed 6.3A. At 151.2W, it provides more 24V output capacity than the 100.8W 24V versions in the sibling list.
Is the RSD-150B-24 suitable for 24V I/O modules, HMIs, or control electronics?
It is a fit for 24V control and interface electronics that need regulated constant-voltage output up to 6.3A. That makes it appropriate for moderate-power 24V subsystems within a 151.2W budget.
Can this model run a 24V communications or monitoring subsystem from a 16.8~31.2V input source?
Yes, when the source is within the stated 16.8~31.2V input range from the product name and the connected 24V load stays within 6.3A. This is the right kind of converter for regulated 24V output in embedded or automation applications that operate inside those limits.
Does the RSD-150B-24 work in cold or hot environments, and is it rated for outdoor exposure?
Its operating temperature range is -40°C to +55°C with no derating, extending to +70°C at 60% load by free air convection. The provided specs do not list an IP rating, so outdoor suitability is not confirmed by this data.
What is the difference between the RSD-150B-24 and the other RSD-150B outputs?
In the RSD-150B family, RSD-150B-5 is 150W at 5V and 30A, RSD-150B-12 is 150W at 12V and 12.5A, and RSD-150B-24 is 151.2W at 24V and 6.3A. The RSD-150C and RSD-150D listings follow the same 5V, 12V, and 24V output groupings, with the 24V versions also listed at 151.2W and 6.3A.
