PLM-25-1050 is the model of this series: rated current 1.05A, rated power 25.2W, typical efficiency 85%.

PLM-25 is a 25W economical AC/DC LED power supply series. Incorporating a built-in active PFC design, PLM-25 provides a high Power Factor value greater than 0.9. In addition, with the low no load power consumption below 0.5W, and the setup time less than 500ms, PLM-25 is complied with the ErP regulation required by European Union for lighting fixtures. PLM-25 is a class Ⅱ(without FG pin) power unit housed with the UL 94V-0 rated flame retardant plastic case. The I/O terminals are designed with screw-less clamp style terminal block that greatly simplifies the wiring installation.PLM-25 series, which operates from 110~295VAC.The series is constant current output design, supplying models with the current of 350mA, 500mA, 700mA and 1050mA, respectively.

Test conditions and notes8

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Please see "AC input voltage drop vs. output current characteristics" table.
4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage, please check the static characteristic for more details.
5. Constant current operation region is within 60% ~100% rated output voltage. This is the suitable operation region for LED related applications, but please reconfirm special electrical requirements for some specific system design.
6. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 7. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.

Can I use the PLM-25-1050 for a 1050mA LED downlight?

Yes, if the downlight requires a constant current driver at 1050mA and the LED load stays within the 14-24V constant-current range. This is not a constant voltage driver, so it should be matched to a 1050mA constant current LED load rather than a fixed-voltage LED product.

Is the PLM-25-1050 suitable for small LED arrays?

It can be used for small LED arrays that are designed for 1050mA constant current operation. The total forward voltage of the array must fall within the 14-24V CC range, and the driver is rated at 25.2W.

Can this driver run constant current signage modules?

It can, but only if the signage module assembly is a constant current design that needs 1050mA. The connected load must stay within the 14-24V constant-current range, and it is not intended for constant voltage modules.

How do I know if this 1050mA driver is compatible with my LEDs?

Compatibility depends on two things: the LEDs must require 1050mA constant current, and their combined forward voltage must stay within 14-24V during constant current operation. The number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage, so the voltage range matters more than a fixed LED count.

How does the PLM-25-1050 compare with the other 25W PLM constant current models?
