NPF-120-30 is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 4A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 89.5%.

NPF-120 series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual modes constant voltage and constant current output. NPF-120 operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry, damp or wet locations.

Test conditions and notes11

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Is the NPF-120-30 rated for wet or outdoor environments?

Yes. The NPF-120-30 is IP67 approved, providing full protection against dust and resistance to temporary water immersion. Its working case temperature (Tcase) range of -40°C to +90°C (with load derating per the output load vs temperature curve) also covers harsh outdoor installations, unheated warehouses, and cold climates.

What LED systems work with the NPF-120-30's 30V output?

The NPF-120-30 supplies 30V DC at 4A (120W). It is suitable for LED systems designed around 30V, such as some mid-string commercial streetlight modules, architectural floodlights with 30V LED arrays, and industrial machine lighting that specifies a 30V constant-current driver. The 90–305VAC input supports global mains compatibility.

How does the NPF-120-30 compare to the NPF-120-24 and NPF-120-36?

All three are in the 120W class with IP67 and the same 191.0 × 63.0 × 37.5 mm housing (0.97 kg). NPF-120-24 outputs 24V/5A (CC range 14.4–24V); NPF-120-30 outputs 30V/4A (CC range 18–30V); NPF-120-36 outputs 36V/3.4A at 122.4W (CC range 21.6–36V). Select the model whose voltage matches your LED module's specification.

Does the NPF-120-30 need a protective earth connection?

The NPF-120-30's input lead is a two-conductor SJTW 18AWG cable carrying only AC/L (brown) and AC/N (blue); the spec sheet shows no earth wire or earth terminal. As the driver is a component for integration into final equipment, follow MEAN WELL's user manual for installation.
