Overview

LPF-90-20 is the 20V output model of this series: rated current 4.5A, rated power 90W, typical efficiency 90%.

LPF-90 series is a 90W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual modes constant voltage and constant current output. LPF-90 operates from 90~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 15V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +70℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry, damp or wet locations.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
  7. 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the LPF-90-20 for 20V LED strip lighting?

Yes, if the strip or lighting load is designed for 20V operation and the total demand stays within 90W and 4.5A. This model provides 20V output and is suited to 20V lighting loads that need more capacity than lower-wattage 20V units.

Is the LPF-90-20 suitable for 20V LED signage or lightbox applications?

It can be, as long as the sign or lighting load is a 20V load and does not exceed 90W or 4.5A. The wide 90-305VAC input also makes it practical for projects that need a broad AC input range.

Can this driver be used in outdoor or wet 20V lighting environments?

Yes, the IP67 rating supports outdoor and wet use. The unit operates at a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +70°C, with load derating at higher temperatures, so it is built for harsher environmental conditions than an indoor-only supply.

How do I estimate LED strip length for the LPF-90-20?

Use the maximum output power of 90W and divide it by the strip wattage per meter. The sizing math is 90W / W per meter, but you need to check your strip rated power per meter and confirm it is a 20V strip.

How does LPF-90-20 compare with the other LPF-90 models?
