Overview
HLG-80H-48 is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 1.7A, rated power 81.6W, typical efficiency 91%.
HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-80H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-80H-48 to power 48V LED strip lighting outdoors?
Yes. The HLG-80H-48 outputs 48V at up to 1.7A (80W) and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, making it well suited for outdoor 48V LED strip installations exposed to rain, dust, and temperature swings. Its wide 90-305VAC input handles most mains voltages worldwide.
Is the HLG-80H-48 a good choice for powering 48V LED high-bay or warehouse lights?
Yes, provided the fixtures operate at 48V and draw no more than 80W total. The HLG-80H-48 runs in constant-current mode with a CC voltage range of 28.8-48V, and its IP67-rated metal housing suits dusty or damp warehouse and industrial spaces.
Can I run long 48V LED strip runs from the HLG-80H-48 to reduce voltage drop?
48V strips have lower current for the same wattage compared to 12V or 24V strips, which means less voltage drop over long runs. The HLG-80H-48 provides up to 80W at 48V / 1.7A, so it supports longer runs at lower current. However, total load must still stay within 80W — check your strip's rated power per meter to calculate maximum length.
How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-80H-48 power?
Divide 80W by your strip's rated power per meter. For example, a 48V strip drawing 10W/m allows up to 8 meters (80W / 10W per meter = 8m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 80W.
Can the HLG-80H-48 operate in extreme heat or cold environments?
Yes, within its ratings. Its case temperature (Tcase) range spans -40°C to +80°C, and the output load must be derated at higher ambient temperatures per the sheet's load vs temperature curve. It is a fanless, convection-cooled design in an IP67-rated metal housing.
