HLG-80H-30B is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 2.7A, rated power 81W, typical efficiency 91%.

HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-80H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-80H-30B for dimmable 30V outdoor landscape lighting?

Yes. The HLG-80H-30B delivers 30V at up to 2.7A (80W) with a 3-in-1 dimming input (1-10V, PWM or resistance) and an IP67 rating. This combination makes it ideal for outdoor landscape fixtures where you want external brightness control and a driver whose metal housing is rated for outdoor use.

Is the HLG-80H-30B a good driver for dimmable 30V LED bollard or pathway lights?

It depends on your strip's rated wattage per meter. The HLG-80H-30B provides up to 80W at 30V. If your strip uses 8W/m, you can run up to 10 meters (80W / 8W per meter = 10m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and ensure the total load does not exceed 80W.

Can the HLG-80H-30B withstand being mounted in an in-ground light well that occasionally floods?

The HLG-80H-30B is IP67 rated, but the sheet does not specify a submersion depth or duration, so occasional flooding is not a specified operating condition. Mount it above the expected water level and follow the waterproof installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual.
