HLG-80H-15A is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 75W, typical efficiency 89%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-80H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-80H-15A to power 15V LED strips in a covered outdoor installation?

Yes. The HLG-80H-15A delivers 75W at 15V and has an IP65-rated metal housing designed for indoor and outdoor applications. It works well under canopies, awnings, or soffits. For fully exposed rain installations, the IP67-rated HLG-80H-15 or HLG-80H-15B would be more suitable.

Is the adjustable output on the HLG-80H-15A useful for matching 15V LED loads precisely?

Yes. The built-in potentiometer lets you trim the output voltage and current so you can match the driver output exactly to your 15V LED strip or module. The CC voltage range of 9-15V provides flexibility to lower the drive point when the LED load requires less than the full rated voltage.

How many meters of 15V LED strip can the HLG-80H-15A drive?

Divide 75W by your strip's rated power per meter. A strip consuming 12W/m would allow about 6.2 meters (75W / 12W per meter = 6.25m). A lower-power strip at 7.5W/m would allow 10 meters. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 75W.

Is the HLG-80H-15A appropriate for a damp warehouse or parking garage?

Yes. Its IP65-rated metal housing and 20-95% RH non-condensing working humidity rating suit damp indoor environments like warehouses, parking structures, or utility areas. For areas with standing water or direct exposure to rain, an IP67-rated variant like the HLG-80H-15 is recommended.
