HLG-185H-30AB is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 6.2A, rated power 186W, typical efficiency 93.5%. Type AB: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer & 3 in 1 dimming function (1~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP65).

HLG-185H series is a 185W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-185H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-185H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-185H-30AB for dimmable 30V LED lighting in a conference room or event space?

Yes. The HLG-185H-30AB delivers 186W at 30V with both output adjustment and 1-10V/PWM/resistance dimming input. How many meters of 30V LED strip can the HLG-185H-30AB handle?

Divide 186W by your strip's rated power per meter. A 30V strip rated at 12W/m allows about 15.5 meters (186W / 12W per meter = 15.5m). A higher-power 20W/m strip allows about 9.3 meters. Check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 186W.

Is the HLG-185H-30AB protected enough for a humid indoor environment like a spa or pool house?

The IP65/IP67-rated metal housing protects against dust and moisture ingress, but working humidity is rated 20-95% RH non-condensing, so avoid locations where condensation forms on the unit. Follow MEAN WELL's IP installation cautions in the user manual.

What makes the HLG-185H-30AB different from the HLG-185H-30B for dimming applications?

Both support external dimming via 1-10V, PWM or resistance input with the same 186W / 30V / 6.2A output. The key difference is that the -30AB also includes built-in potentiometers for output voltage (27-33V) and current (3.1-6.2A) adjustment, while the -30B has no potentiometer adjustment.
