HLG-120H-24A is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 93%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

Yes. The HLG-120H-24A delivers 24V at up to 5A (120W) and carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, which handles splashing water and dust in covered outdoor areas like patios, canopies, or soffits. For fully exposed locations with direct rain, consider the IP67-rated HLG-120H-24 instead.

Is the adjustable output on the HLG-120H-24A useful for fine-tuning LED brightness?

Yes. The built-in potentiometers let you trim the output voltage within 22-27V and the output current within 2.5-5A, which helps when you need to reduce brightness slightly or match the driver to a specific LED load without an external dimmer.

How many meters of 24V LED strip can the HLG-120H-24A handle?

Divide 120W by your strip's power consumption per meter. For instance, a strip rated at 10W/m would allow up to 12 meters (120W / 10W per meter = 12m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 120W for reliable operation.

Is the HLG-120H-24A suitable for a damp basement or parking garage installation?

Yes. IP65 protects against low-pressure water jets from any direction and full dust ingress, which is more than sufficient for damp indoor environments like basements, garages, or parking structures. For locations with direct rain or potential standing water, the IP67-rated HLG-120H-24 or HLG-120H-24B would be more appropriate.
