Overview
HLG-100H-48AB is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2A, rated power 96W, typical efficiency 93%.
HLG-100H series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-100H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 20V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-100H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the HLG-100H-48AB with a dimming controller for 48V LED office lighting?
Yes. The HLG-100H-48AB supports 1-10V, PWM, and resistance dimming signals, making it compatible with building management systems and standalone dimming controllers that provide these signals. The adjustable output also lets you fine-tune the baseline brightness for 48V LED fixtures up to 96W.
Is the HLG-100H-48AB suitable for dimmable 48V LED display case or museum lighting?
It is a strong choice where precise brightness control matters. The built-in potentiometer sets the output operating point, while the dimming input enables real-time brightness adjustment to highlight exhibits or merchandise. Total LED load must stay at or below 96W at 48V.
Can I power a dimmable 48V LED video wall backlight with the HLG-100H-48AB?
Yes, provided the backlight array draws no more than 96W. The HLG-100H-48AB delivers 48V at up to 2A with both adjustable output and dimming capability. The dimming input allows adjusting brightness to suit ambient light levels via a 1-10V, PWM or resistance controller.
How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-100H-48AB power?
The maximum strip length depends on the strip's rated wattage per meter, not the dimming level. With 96W available at 48V, a strip rated at 6W/m allows approximately 16 meters (96W / 6W per meter). Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and stay within 96W total.
Can the HLG-100H-48AB be used in a damp indoor environment like a natatorium or spa?
The HLG-100H series' IP65/IP67 metal-housing design is generally sufficient for damp indoor spaces where the driver is not directly submerged. Ensure it is mounted away from direct water splash zones, and for wet locations with submersion risk confirm the exact IP rating of this AB-type.
How does the HLG-100H-48AB differ from the 48A and 48B models?
The -48AB combines both adjustable output (potentiometers, 43-53V / 1.25-2A) and dimming input (1-10V/PWM/resistance). The -48A has adjustable output only, without dimming. The -48B has dimming only, without potentiometer adjustment. All three share the same 96W, 48V, 2A core specs.
