Overview
ELG-150-42AB is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 3.57A, typical efficiency 90%.
ELG-150 series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-150 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTICS” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. ELG-150-12(except blank/A-Type) is used for any light source that exempt from the ErP-Directive (EU) 2019/2020 requirement, for example this model could be use for signalling products(including, but not limited to road-, railway-, marineorair traffic-signalling , traffic control or airfield lamps) .

What dimming and adjustment features does the ELG-150-42AB provide?
The ELG-150-42AB includes both the 'A' built-in output adjustment potentiometer and the 'B' 3-in-1 dimming input (0–10V, 10V PWM, or resistance control). Can I use the ELG-150-42AB for 42V LED strip lighting in a covered outdoor entertainment venue?

Is the ELG-150-42AB appropriate for 42V LED strips in a greenhouse or high-humidity grow lighting setup?
The IP65 rating provides protection against water spray, which covers many greenhouse environments; the sheet specifies 20–95% RH non-condensing working humidity, so keep the driver where condensation does not form on it. The case temperature (Tcase) range of -40°C to +90°C, with derating at high ambient temperatures, accommodates warm growing spaces. However, for installations with direct water immersion risk, the IP67-rated ELG-150-42B or ELG-150-42DA would offer additional protection.
How many meters of 42V LED strip can the ELG-150-42AB support?
The ELG-150-42AB delivers 150W at 42V. Divide 150W by your strip's watt-per-meter rating to estimate the maximum run length. For example, a 12 W/m strip yields approximately 12.5 meters maximum; a 20 W/m strip yields approximately 7.5 meters. Check your strip's rated power per meter and derate to 80% for continuous operation, giving roughly 10 m and 6 m respectively in those examples.
Can the ELG-150-42AB drive 42V LED strips for linear architectural lighting in commercial offices?
Yes. The 0–10V dimming input on the ELG-150-42AB integrates directly with the 0–10V outputs common in commercial building management systems, and the 150W capacity handles extended linear runs of 42V architectural LED strip. The built-in trim pot also lets the installer fine-tune the light output level during commissioning.
Can the ELG-150-42AB be used in LED retrofit projects for 42V fluorescent-replacement strip fixtures?
Yes. The adjustable output (37.8–46.2V voltage and 1.8–3.57A current via the built-in potentiometer) and 0–10V dimming make the ELG-150-42AB a flexible choice for retrofitting legacy fluorescent troffers or strip fixtures with 42V LED replacement modules, especially where an existing 0–10V dimming infrastructure is already in place.
How does the ELG-150-42AB differ from the ELG-150-42A and ELG-150-42B?
All three share the same 150W, 42V, 3.57A output and physical dimensions. The ELG-150-42A provides only the built-in output voltage/current adjustment potentiometer (no external dimming). The ELG-150-42B provides only the external 0–10V/PWM/resistance dimming input (no potentiometer). The ELG-150-42AB includes both features. The A and AB models are rated IP65; the B model is rated IP67.
