ELG-100-48 is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2A, typical efficiency 90%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Can the ELG-100-48 power 48V LED strips for an outdoor architectural lighting project?

Yes. The ELG-100-48 provides 96W at 48V DC and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor architectural LED strip installations. For strip rated at 10W per meter, the driver supports approximately 9.6 meters per circuit—always check your strip’s rated power per meter and apply a derating margin.

Is the ELG-100-48 waterproof enough for outdoor signage and landscape LED fixtures?

Yes. With an IP67 rating, the ELG-100-48 is dust-tight and protected against temporary water immersion. It is appropriate for outdoor LED channel-letter signs, landscape ground fixtures, and building facade luminaires exposed to direct weather; follow the IP installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual.

How many meters of 48V LED strip can the ELG-100-48 drive?

At 96W maximum output (200–305VAC input; 70W on 100–180VAC, e.g. 120VAC), the ELG-100-48 can supply roughly 9.6 meters of 48V strip rated at 10W per meter. For higher-density strip at 14.4W per meter, that reduces to approximately 6.6 meters. Verify your strip’s rated wattage per meter before sizing the run.

Can I use the ELG-100-48 to supply a 48V LED linear fixture inside a commercial cooler or cold-storage unit?

Yes. The -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) rating covers cold-storage environments, and the IP67 rating provides dust-tight, water-resistant protection; working humidity is rated 20–95% RH non-condensing, so avoid locations where condensation forms on the driver. The 96W output is appropriate for medium-length 48V linear fixtures.

Does the ELG-100-48 work in countries with 230V mains as well as 120V?

Yes. The universal 100–305VAC input means the ELG-100-48 operates on 120V North American supplies, 230V European supplies, and 277V commercial circuits without any wiring changes. Note the rated power is 70W at 100–180VAC and 96W at 200–305VAC.

Can the ELG-100-48 be used in a waterproof enclosure for an outdoor LED flood or wash fixture?
