ELG-100-24-3Y is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 4.0A, typical efficiency 88%.
ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes13
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can the ELG-100-24-3Y be installed in a wet outdoor location?
Yes. The ELG-100-24-3Y carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can withstand temporary immersion and is suitable for wet outdoor locations such as landscape lighting enclosures or exposed outdoor signage. Permanent submersion is not recommended.
How much 24V LED strip can the ELG-100-24-3Y drive?
This driver is rated at 96W and 24V on 200–305VAC input (70W on 100–180VAC, e.g. 120VAC). At 96W, a 9.6 W/m strip supports up to 10 meters; a 19.2 W/m high-density strip, up to 5 meters. Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and leave a 20% safety margin to avoid overloading the driver.
Is the ELG-100-24-3Y a good fit for powering LED displays in retail storefronts?
Yes. With 96W at 24V and IP67 protection, it can reliably power LED display lighting in window or storefront installations where vibration, dust, and temperature swings occur. It is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +90°C, with load derating at high temperatures.
Can I use this driver for 24V LED strip in a commercial refrigeration display case?
Yes. The ELG-100-24-3Y is rated down to -40°C case temperature, making it suitable for cold-storage and refrigeration lighting applications where temperatures are well below freezing. Its working humidity rating is 20–95% RH non-condensing, so mount it where condensation will not form on the driver.
What certifications does the ELG-100-24-3Y carry?
The datasheet lists UL8750 (Type HL), CSA C22.2 No. 250.13-12, IEC/EN/AS/NZS 61347-1 and 61347-2-13, EN62384, EAC TP TC 004, GB/T19510 and KC safety standards, plus EN55015, EN61000-3-2/-3-3 and EN61547 EMC compliance. This supports projects in North America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand and the Eurasian (EAC) market.
How does the ELG-100-24-3Y differ from the standard ELG-100-24?
The -3Y suffix indicates a 3-wire AC input (line, neutral and a green/yellow protective-earth lead), whereas the standard ELG-100-24 has a 2-wire input; it is not a warranty designation. Both share the same 24V / 4A output, 96W rating (70W at 100–180VAC), dimensions and IP67 rating. The sheet recommends connecting the case to PE for complete EMC performance and safety.
