Test conditions and notes14
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. De-rating may be need under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12” twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uF & 47uF parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance: includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 6. Flicker is measured at full load with the light source provided by MEAN WELL.
- 7. To fulfill requirement of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
- 8. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
- 9. The ambient temperature de-rating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 10. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >50,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 70℃ or less.
- 11. For XLC(except -S) series: RCM is on a voluntary basis and meets relevant IEC or AS/NZS standards complying with AS/NZS 4417.1. For XLC-S series: RCM is on a voluntary basis. Non IC classification Independent LED control gear is not suitable for residential installations.

FAQ
Can the XLC-25-H-DA2N be used in DALI2 downlight systems where current output needs post-installation adjustment?
Yes. The XLC-25-H-DA2N combines DALI2 + push dimming with NFC current setting (0.3–1.05A), so the drive current can be adjusted wirelessly via smartphone after the driver is installed inside a recessed fixture, without disrupting the DALI wiring.
Is the XLC-25-H-DA2N appropriate for LED downlights in smart offices where DALI2 control is required?
Yes. The XLC-25-H-DA2N supports DALI2, enabling individual addressing, scene recall, and group control from a DALI2 system controller. Its 700mA output at up to 25W suits the LED modules commonly used in recessed office downlights.
Can the XLC-25-H-DA2N achieve near-off dimming levels for hospitality LED lighting?
Yes. The XLC-25-H-DA2N is rated for a minimum dimming level of 0.1%, which allows LEDs to be dimmed to a near-imperceptible level without fully switching off. This is useful in hotel rooms, restaurants, and other hospitality spaces where smooth dim-to-low is required.
Can the XLC-25-H-DA2N power LED signage modules in a DALI-addressed installation?
Yes. The 700mA constant current output across a 9–54V compliance range supports LED signage modules of varying forward voltages, and the DALI2 bus interface allows each driver to be individually addressed and brightness-controlled from a central system.
How does the XLC-25-H-DA2N differ from the XLC-25-H-DA2?
Both models are 25W, 700mA DALI2 + push dimming drivers with identical electrical specifications. The XLC-25-H-DA2N uses NFC for current setting, while the XLC-25-H-DA2 uses a dip switch. NFC is preferable when drivers are concealed and physical access after installation is limited.
Is the XLC-25-H-DA2N suitable for operation in high-temperature luminaire enclosures?
Yes. The XLC-25-H-DA2N is rated for operating temperatures from -25°C to +85°C (Tcase) and is designed for built-in use. This temperature range accommodates the elevated ambient conditions found in recessed luminaire compartments under thermal load.
