Overview

LPF-60D-48 is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 1.25A, rated power 60W, typical efficiency 90%.

LPF-60D series is a 60W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant current output. LPF-60D operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry, damp or wet locations. LPF-60D is equipped with the 3 in 1 dimming function so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
  7. 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the LPF-60D-48 for a 48V linear LED or constant current strip system?

Yes, if the LED product is specified for constant current operation within 28.8-48V and up to 1.25A. It should not be used with a 48V constant voltage strip or fixture.

Is this driver suitable for outdoor 48V signage or display lighting?

It can be used for outdoor signage or display lighting when the load is a constant current 48V LED product within the 28.8-48V range and 1.25A limit. The IP67 waterproof enclosure supports outdoor and wet-location use of the driver housing.

Can the LPF-60D-48 power a higher-voltage architectural or commercial LED fixture?

Yes, it is designed for constant current LED fixtures up to 60W with output up to 48V at 1.25A. That makes it suitable for higher-voltage LED assemblies that match the 28.8-48V constant current range.

How much 48V LED strip or linear product can this driver handle?

The driver is rated for 60W maximum, which is also 48V × 1.25A = 60W. To estimate supported length, divide 60W by your strip's rated watts per meter, and check your strip rated power per meter and whether the product requires constant current rather than constant voltage.

Can this driver be used outside in rain, dust, or washdown areas?

The LPF-60D-48 has an IP67 waterproof rating and a working case temperature (Tcase) range of -40°C to +80°C, with load derating at higher temperatures, so the driver housing is intended for outdoor, rain and dusty environments; the sheet gives no specific washdown or water-jet rating. The connected lighting load still needs to match the same application conditions.
