LPF-16D-54 is the 54V output model of this series: rated current 0.3A, rated power 16.2W, typical efficiency 84.5%.

LPF-16D series is a 16W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant current output. LPF-16D operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the efficiency up to 85%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -35℃ ~ +70℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry or damp and the optional models with IP67 rating is able to further work at wet locations. LPF-16D is equipped with the 3 in 1 dimming function so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the LPF-16D-54 for a compact 54V LED lighting run?

Yes, if the fixture or strip is a constant-current load rated for 0.3A and stays within 16.2W total. This driver outputs 54V at 0.3A and works within a 29.7-54V constant current range. Check that the lighting product is specifically compatible before using it.

Is the LPF-16D-54 a fit for small 54V illuminated signage?

It can be used for low-power illuminated signage where the total load does not exceed 16.2W. The standard unit is rated IP30 (IP67 listed as an option), so it should not be exposed to water or dust. Confirm the sign lighting modules are rated for 0.3A constant current within 29.7-54V.

Can the LPF-16D-54 be used with a short 54V linear fixture?

Yes, for a short linear fixture that falls within the driver’s 16.2W output limit. With 54V output and 0.3A current, it is sized for lighter loads rather than extended runs. Verify the fixture’s voltage and current requirements before selection.

Will this driver work in outdoor or wet lighting conditions?

Not as standard: the LPF-16D-54 is rated IP30, so it is not intended for wet, dusty or outdoor exposure; the datasheet lists IP67 only as an optional version. Its working case temperature (Tcase) range is -35°C to +70°C. The connected lighting components should be rated for the same environment.

How much 54V LED strip can the LPF-16D-54 run?

Use the driver’s 16.2W maximum to estimate strip length. Length = 16.2W divided by the strip’s rated watts per meter, so a 5.4W/m strip would be about 3 meters. Check your strip rated power per meter and make sure the strip is a constant-current type for 0.3A within 29.7-54V.

What is the difference between the LPF-16D-54 and the other 16W dimmable LPF versions?

The LPF-16D lineup includes 12V 16.08W 1.34A, 15V 16.05W 1.07A, 20V 16W 0.8A, 24V 16.08W 0.67A, 30V 16.2W 0.54A, 36V 16.2W 0.45A, 42V 16.38W 0.39A, 48V 16.32W 0.34A, and 54V 16.2W 0.3A. The LPF-16D-54 is the highest-voltage option in that dimmable 16W group and therefore also has the lowest output current at 0.3A.
