LPF-16D-30 is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 0.54A, rated power 16.2W, typical efficiency 84.5%.

LPF-16D series is a 16W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant current output. LPF-16D operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the efficiency up to 85%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -35℃ ~ +70℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry or damp and the optional models with IP67 rating is able to further work at wet locations. LPF-16D is equipped with the 3 in 1 dimming function so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
  7. 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the LPF-16D-30 for a 30V LED module chain in signage?

Yes, if the LED module chain is a constant-current load that requires 0.54A and operates within the 16.5-30V constant-current range. The total connected load needs to stay within 16.2W.

Is this suitable for a dimmable 30V cove or display light?

It is suitable for low-power cove or display lighting when the LED engine is designed for 0.54A constant current and runs in the 16.5-30V range. The built-in 3 in 1 dimming supports dimmable applications up to 16.2W.

Can the LPF-16D-30 be used in outdoor decorative lighting?

Not as standard: the unit is rated IP30, so it is not intended for wet or exposed locations; the datasheet lists IP67 only as an option. The load must be a 0.54A constant-current load within 16.5-30V, at a case temperature (Tcase) of -35°C to +70°C.

How do I estimate compatible 30V LED strip length for this driver?

Use this only with a constant-current strip or module that matches 0.54A and falls within 16.5-30V. The maximum length is 16.2W divided by your strip's watts per meter, and you should check your strip rated power per meter before sizing.

Is this driver waterproof enough for exterior installations?

The standard driver is rated IP30, so it is not waterproof and is not intended for outdoor or wet locations; the datasheet lists IP67 as an optional version. It also needs a matching constant-current LED load and a case temperature (Tcase) within -35°C to +70°C.
