Can I use the LDH-45A-500 for 500mA LED downlights?

Yes, if the downlight is designed for constant current operation at 500mA and the total LED forward voltage stays within 12-86V. This model can deliver up to 43W, so it is suited to higher-power constant current downlight loads within that range. It is not meant for fixed-voltage LED products.

Is the LDH-45A-500 suitable for signage modules or compact LED arrays that need 500mA?

It can be used for constant current signage modules or small LED arrays that require 500mA and fall within the 12-86V constant current range. The 43W rating gives more headroom than the 30.1W 350mA version for higher-power constant current loads.
