ELG-240-C1400B is the model of this series: rated current 1400mA, typical efficiency 93%.

ELG-240-C series is a 240W LED AC/DC driver featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. ELG-240-C operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 700mA and 2100mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃~+85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-240-C is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Can the ELG-240-C1400B be used to dim high-power LED downlights via a 0–10V control signal?

Yes. The 'B' suffix denotes built-in 3-in-1 dimming, so the ELG-240-C1400B accepts a 0–10VDC signal, a 10V PWM signal or a resistance to vary the 1400mA output current. This is compatible with common 0–10V commercial dimming controls.

Is the ELG-240-C1400B waterproof enough for outdoor LED signage or façade lighting?

Yes. The ELG-240-C series is rated IP65 or IP67 against dust and water, making it suitable for outdoor sign cabinets and façade installations exposed to direct rain.

Can I use this driver for stadium or sports field floodlights that require 1400mA?

The ELG-240-C1400B outputs a constant 1400mA across 86–171V (239.4W), which suits high-power LED modules used in sports lighting. Its IP65/IP67-rated enclosure and -40°C to +85°C case temperature (Tcase) rating support outdoor stadium installations.

How many LEDs can be connected in series to the ELG-240-C1400B?

The driver regulates voltage between 86V and 171V at constant 1400mA. String length is determined by each LED's forward voltage; the sum of Vf values for all LEDs in the series string must fall within that 86–171V output range.

What happens to the driver at the lower end of the CC voltage range?

The sheet specifies the constant current region as 86–171V; below it, 1400mA regulation is not specified and the driving-methods curve shows hiccup protection at low output voltage. Ensure the combined forward voltage of your LED string stays within 86–171V under all operating conditions.

Does the ELG-240-C1400B carry the same certifications as the ELG-240-C1400?

Yes. Both are approved to the same safety standards on the sheet, including UL8750 (Type HL), CSA C22.2 No. 250.13-12, EN/AS/NZS 61347-1/-2-13, EN62384, GB/T19510, KC and EAC. The primary difference between models is the built-in dimming interface on the ELG-240-C1400B.
