ELG-150-48DA is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 3.13A, typical efficiency 90%.

ELG-150 series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-150 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTICS” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Is the ELG-150-48DA rated for outdoor use in wet conditions?

Yes. The ELG-150-48DA has an IP67 waterproof rating, providing full protection against dust ingress and temporary submersion in water. It is suitable for outdoor luminaires, weatherproof enclosures, and any installation where direct moisture contact is possible.

How long a 48V LED strip run can the ELG-150-48DA support?

The ELG-150-48DA outputs 150.2W at 48V. Dividing by rated strip wattage per meter: a 10 W/m strip supports up to about 15 meters; a 15 W/m strip supports up to about 10 meters. Check your strip's rated power per meter and apply a 20% derating for thermal safety.

Can the ELG-150-48DA be used to power 48V LED strips in a hotel lobby with DALI control?

Yes. The DA suffix designates DALI dimming, which is compatible with the DALI lighting control protocols used in commercial hospitality installations. At 150.2W and 48V, it comfortably drives the LED strip loads typical of lobby cove or feature lighting.

Is the ELG-150-48DA appropriate for outdoor LED architectural uplighting on building facades?

Yes. Its IP67 rating and -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) range make it durable in year-round outdoor facade applications. The 48V output is advantageous for longer cable runs to facade-mounted LED strips or fixtures, reducing resistive voltage drop compared to 24V systems.
