Overview
ELG-150-36B is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 4.17A, typical efficiency 90%.
ELG-150 series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-150 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes14
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTICS” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. ELG-150-12(except blank/A-Type) is used for any light source that exempt from the ErP-Directive (EU) 2019/2020 requirement, for example this model could be use for signalling products(including, but not limited to road-, railway-, marineorair traffic-signalling , traffic control or airfield lamps) .

Is the ELG-150-36B suitable for fully outdoor, rain-exposed LED signage installations?
Yes. The ELG-150-36B carries an IP67 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. This makes it appropriate for open outdoor sign cabinets, building facades, or installations where direct rainfall exposure is possible.
Can I use the ELG-150-36B to drive a large 36V outdoor LED display or billboard segment?
Yes. The IP67 waterproof rating and 150.1W output at 36V make the ELG-150-36B well suited for outdoor LED display or billboard modules that use 36V DC. The -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) range handles extreme temperatures found in outdoor billboard enclosures, with output derating at high ambient temperatures.
How much 36V LED strip can the ELG-150-36B support?
The ELG-150-36B outputs 150.1W at 36V. Divide 150W by your strip's watt-per-meter rating to find the maximum length. A 12 W/m strip supports up to ~12.5 meters; a 20 W/m strip supports up to ~7.5 meters. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and plan for no more than 80% continuous load, so roughly 10 m and 6 m respectively for those examples.
Can the ELG-150-36B be used to power 36V LED strips in a roadside or parking lot signage cabinet?
Yes. The IP67 rating protects against rain, dust and temporary water immersion, and the wide input range (100–305VAC) accommodates both standard and international supply voltages. At 150.1W, it can drive a substantial run of 36V strip lighting in a roadside sign box or parking structure.
Does the ELG-150-36B include a dimming input?
Yes. The 'B' suffix on the ELG-150 series denotes 3-in-1 dimming: the DIM+/DIM- leads accept a 0–10VDC signal, a 10V PWM signal (100Hz–3kHz) or a resistance. The B type has no output-adjustment potentiometer; if manual trimming is also required, the ELG-150-36AB adds the potentiometer.
Is the ELG-150-36B appropriate for powering 36V LED strips in outdoor landscape or pathway lighting fixtures?
Yes. Its IP67 waterproof construction allows mounting near or in outdoor landscape lighting enclosures where moisture ingress is a concern. The 150.1W capacity can serve multiple 36V fixtures in parallel.
