ELG-100-48DA is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2A, typical efficiency 90%.

ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

  2. 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
  3. 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  4. 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  5. 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the ELG-100-48DA in a DALI-controlled museum or gallery lighting system?

Yes. The DA suffix indicates DALI dimming support, and the ELG-100-48DA integrates with DALI bus controllers for addressable dimming (16 groups, 64 addresses). Its 96W at 48V is appropriate for 48V LED tracks or strip systems used in display lighting where precise, group- or address-based control is required.

Is the ELG-100-48DA suitable for outdoor DALI-controlled architectural lighting?

Yes. The ELG-100-48DA is rated IP67, providing dust-tightness and protection against temporary water immersion. Combined with DALI dimming, it is well suited for building facade, landscape, or architectural lighting installations managed by a DALI network.

How much 48V LED strip load can the ELG-100-48DA support?

The ELG-100-48DA provides up to 96W at 48V on 200–305VAC input (70W on 100–180VAC, e.g. 120VAC). At 96W, a 48V strip rated at 10 W/m allows up to 9.6 m per driver; an 8 W/m strip, approximately 12 m. Divide the wattage by your strip's rated power per meter and confirm with a 10% derating margin.

Can the ELG-100-48DA be used for 48V LED signage with DALI dimming in a retail environment?

Yes. The ELG-100-48DA's DALI interface and 96W output make it suitable for 48V illuminated retail signage where lighting levels need to be adjusted from a central control system. IP67 protection also accommodates outdoor or semi-exposed sign cabinet locations.

Does the ELG-100-48DA work in cold outdoor environments such as northern climates?

Yes. The ELG-100-48DA is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +90°C, covering the cold temperatures encountered in northern climate outdoor lighting. Note that set-up time is specified at first cold start (500ms at 230VAC, 1000ms at 115VAC).
