ELG-100-36B is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 2.66A, typical efficiency 89%.
ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the ELG-100-36B with a PWM or 0-10V dimmer for outdoor 36V LED lighting?
Yes. The ELG-100-36B accepts 0-10VDC, 10V PWM and resistance dimming signals and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can be installed outdoors and controlled by a standard 0-10V or PWM dimmer. At 95.76W and 36V it suits outdoor LED strip or fixture installations that also need adjustable brightness.
Is the ELG-100-36B suitable for powering dimmable 36V LED strip in outdoor architectural lighting?
Yes. Its combination of IP67 weatherproofing and 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming makes it well suited for outdoor architectural applications such as facade uplighting, pergola strips, or pathway lighting where both weather resistance and brightness control are required.
Can the ELG-100-36B drive 36V LED modules for an outdoor illuminated sign with dim-to-low capability?
Yes. With 95.76W at 36V, IP67 waterproofing, and built-in dimming input, it can power outdoor 36V LED sign modules and allow the sign brightness to be reduced at night via an external 0-10V or PWM controller (minimum dimming level is about 8%). The wide 100-305VAC input handles varied mains supplies; on 100-180VAC the rated power is 70W.
How many meters of 36V LED strip can the ELG-100-36B supply?
The ELG-100-36B outputs up to 95.76W on 200-305VAC input (70W on 100-180VAC, e.g. 120VAC). Divide that wattage by your strip's rated power per meter for the maximum length. A 36V strip at 9W/m, for example, allows about 10.6 meters at 95.76W (about 7.7 meters at 70W). Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load within the rating.
Can the ELG-100-36B be installed in a fully exposed outdoor location subject to rain?
Yes. The IP67 rating means the unit is dust-tight and protected against temporary water immersion, so direct rain exposure is not an issue. It can be mounted in outdoor locations, and it is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +90°C, with load derating at high temperatures per the datasheet curve.
