Overview
HLG-480H-48AB is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 10A, rated power 480W, typical efficiency 94.5%.
HLG-480H series is a 480W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-480H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 95.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.HLG-480H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-480H-48AB to power a large 48V LED strip installation with dimming?
Yes. The HLG-480H-48AB delivers 480W at 48V and includes both an output adjustment potentiometer and a 3-in-1 dimming input (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance). This makes it well suited for lengthy 48V LED strip runs in commercial or architectural projects where brightness control is required.
Is the HLG-480H-48AB suitable for powering 48V LED signage with brightness scheduling?

How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-480H-48AB support?
That depends on the strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-480H-48AB supplies up to 480W at 48V. For example, a strip rated at 20W/m could run up to 24 meters (480W / 20W per meter = 24m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 480W.
Can the HLG-480H-48AB be mounted in a covered outdoor location?
Yes. Its IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, so it is suitable for covered patios, soffits, or ventilated outdoor enclosures. For fully exposed installations or locations with a risk of temporary immersion, consider the IP67-rated HLG-480H-48B instead.
What are the differences between the HLG-480H-48, 48A, 48AB, and 48B?
All four share the same 480W / 48V / 10A core specs and metal housing. The base HLG-480H-48 has no output adjustment or dimming and is IP67 waterproof. The -48A adds an output adjustment potentiometer (IP65). The -48AB adds both adjustment and 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming (IP65). The -48B provides dimming input only and retains IP67 waterproofing.
