Overview
HLG-320H-48 is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 6.7A, rated power 321.6W, typical efficiency 95%.
HLG-320H series is a 320W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-320H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-320H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the HLG-320H-48 to power 48V LED strip lighting outdoors?
Yes. The HLG-320H-48 outputs 48V at up to 6.7A (320W), and its IP65/IP67-rated metal housing is designed for indoor and outdoor applications, making it suitable for outdoor 48V LED strip installations. Its -40°C to +90°C case-temperature (Tcase) range handles harsh weather, with derating at high temperature.
Is the HLG-320H-48 suitable for powering 48V LED high-bay warehouse lighting?
Yes. At 320W it can drive one or more 48V high-bay LED fixtures. The constant-current mode with a CC voltage range of 24-48V accommodates slight voltage differences between fixtures. Its wide 90-305VAC input works with most industrial power supplies.
Can I use the HLG-320H-48 for 48V commercial LED signage?
Yes. With 320W at 48V, the HLG-320H-48 can drive large 48V LED sign modules, channel letters, or light boxes. The IP65/IP67-rated metal housing is designed for outdoor mounting, and the series has a typical life expectancy above 62,000 hours at Tcase of about 75°C.
How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-320H-48 power?
Divide 320W by your strip's rated power per meter. For example, a 48V strip rated at 10W/m would allow up to 32 meters (320W / 10W per meter = 32m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 320W.
Can the HLG-320H-48 be mounted in a below-grade vault or wet-location junction box?
The HLG-320H series is rated IP65 or IP67 depending on type, and its metal housing is designed for indoor and outdoor applications, but the datasheet does not state a submersion depth. Check the rating of your type and the IP installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual before installing it in below-grade vaults or wet-location junction boxes.
Does the HLG-320H-48 operate reliably in extreme cold or hot environments?
Yes. Its case temperature (Tcase) range is -40°C to +90°C, covering extreme winter cold, with output derating at high temperatures per the load vs temperature curve. The fanless metal housing is cooled by free-air convection, which matters in enclosed or rooftop installations during summer.
