HLG-100H-48B is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2A, rated power 96W, typical efficiency 93%.

HLG-100H series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-100H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 20V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-100H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-100H-48B to dim 48V LED outdoor area lights?

Yes. The HLG-100H-48B supports dimming via 1-10V, PWM, and resistance signals, and the HLG-100H series' IP65/IP67 metal-housing design suits outdoor area lighting. It delivers 48V at up to 2A (96W rated power) with smooth brightness control for energy-saving dimming schedules.

Is the HLG-100H-48B suitable for dimmable 48V LED stairwell or emergency path lighting?

It works well for stairwell and pathway luminaires where dimming reduces energy use during unoccupied periods. The constant-current output within the 24-48V region ensures stable light output, and the series' IP65/IP67 design suits damp stairwells or semi-outdoor corridors. The sheet lists no emergency-lighting certification, so check local emergency lighting requirements.

Can I run dimmable 48V LED canopy lights at a fuel station with the HLG-100H-48B?

Yes. The series' IP65/IP67 metal-housing design and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) range suit the outdoor conditions at fuel station canopies. The dimming input allows reducing brightness during overnight hours for energy savings. Total load must stay at or below 96W.

How long a run of 48V LED strip can the HLG-100H-48B power?

The HLG-100H-48B provides up to 96W at 48V. Divide 96W by the strip's rated wattage per meter to calculate maximum length. A strip rated at 4W/m would allow up to 24 meters (96W / 4W per meter = 24m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load within 96W.

Can the HLG-100H-48B withstand outdoor installations exposed to coastal salt spray?

The series' IP65/IP67 rating and metal housing provide protection against moisture and dust, but the sheet gives no salt-spray rating, and prolonged exposure to salt air accelerates corrosion on any metal enclosure. Periodic inspection and protective mounting (e.g., inside a ventilated NEMA-rated box) is recommended for coastal installations.

What does the 'B' suffix mean on the HLG-100H-48B?

The 'B' suffix indicates the model includes a dimming function input (1-10V, PWM, or resistance) but does not have the built-in potentiometers for output adjustment found on the A and AB variants. All 48V variants share the same 96W, 48V, 2A core output; the series comes in IP65 and IP67 versions, so check the rating of each type.
