ELG-75-48-3Y is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 1.6A, typical efficiency 90%.

ELG-75 series is a 75W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-75 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 48V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-75 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

FAQ

What does the 3-conductor input mean on the ELG-75-48-3Y, and when would I need it?

The ELG-75-48-3Y is the 3-wire input version: its AC input cable carries line (brown), neutral (blue) and protective earth (green/yellow), and the datasheet asks for the case to be connected to PE for complete EMC performance and safe use. This suits installations where an earth conductor is run to the driver. The driver otherwise shares the same 76.8W, 48V, 1.6A output specs as the standard ELG-75-48.

Can the ELG-75-48-3Y drive 48V LED strips in a covered outdoor pergola or canopy?

Yes. The ELG-75 series is rated IP65 or IP67, which makes the ELG-75-48-3Y suitable for covered outdoor locations where moisture is possible. How much 48V LED strip can the ELG-75-48-3Y support?

With a maximum output of 76.8W at 48V on 200–305VAC input, the ELG-75-48-3Y can support a strip load within that envelope. As an example, a 48V strip consuming 10W/m allows approximately 7.6 meters (76.8W ÷ 10W/m ≈ 7.6m); on 100–180VAC the rating is 60W, or about 6 meters. Always confirm your strip's rated power per meter and account for a small derating margin.
