Overview
HLG-80H-30AB is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 2.7A, rated power 81W, typical efficiency 91%.
HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-80H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-80H-30AB for dimmable 30V LED cove lighting indoors?
Yes. The HLG-80H-30AB provides 30V at up to 2.7A (80W) with both a built-in potentiometer for output current adjustment and a 3-in-1 dimming input (1-10V, PWM or resistance). This makes it a strong fit for cove lighting where you want smooth brightness control from a wall dimmer or automation system.
Is the HLG-80H-30AB suitable for dimmable outdoor 30V LED accent lighting in a covered area?
Yes. Its IP65-rated metal housing is designed for indoor and outdoor applications, so it works in covered patios, canopies, or recessed soffits. The dimming input lets you adjust accent lighting scenes externally, while the potentiometer provides baseline output current tuning. For fully exposed rain locations, choose an IP67 model.

How many meters of 30V LED strip can the HLG-80H-30AB handle?
That depends on your strip's power consumption per meter. The HLG-80H-30AB supplies up to 80W at 30V. For a strip rated at 12W/m, you could run about 6.6 meters (80W / 12W per meter ≈ 6.6m). Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and keep the total load at or below 80W.
What level of water protection does the IP65 rating on the HLG-80H-30AB provide?
IP65 is this model's ingress protection rating (the HLG-80H series is IP65 or IP67), and the sheet describes the series as fit for both indoor and outdoor applications. It suits covered outdoor spaces and indoor wet areas with occasional splashing. For locations that may be submerged or fully rain-exposed, use an IP67-rated variant like the HLG-80H-30B.
What are the differences between the HLG-80H-30, 30A, 30AB, and 30B variants?
All four share the same 80W / 30V / 2.7A core output. The base HLG-80H-30 has fixed output and IP67 rating. The -30A adds potentiometers for output voltage and current adjustment (IP65). The -30AB combines an output current potentiometer with a 3-in-1 dimming input (IP65). The -30B offers the dimming input only and retains IP67.
