HLG-600H-12AB is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 40A, rated power 480W, typical efficiency 92%.

HLG-600H series is a 600W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-600H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 96%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-600H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

How many meters of 12V LED strip can the HLG-600H-12AB power?

That depends on your strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-600H-12AB supplies up to 480W at 12V. For example, if your strip draws 14.4W/m, you could run up to about 33 meters (480W / 14.4W per meter ≈ 33m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep the total load at or below 480W.

Can the HLG-600H-12AB be installed in a covered outdoor location?

Yes. It carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, which protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress. This makes it suitable for covered patios, canopies, soffits, and similar sheltered outdoor locations. For fully exposed rain installations, consider the IP67-rated HLG-600H-12B instead.

What is the difference between the HLG-600H-12, 12A, 12AB, and 12B models?

All four share the same 480W / 12V / 40A core specs. The base HLG-600H-12 has no output adjustment or dimming and is IP67 waterproof. The -12A adds output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer and is IP65. The -12AB adds both adjustment and 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming input (IP65). The -12B adds dimming input only and retains IP67.
